THE TOUR

June was an intense month, one of those months when you barely make it back home, and you're hopping between festivals all month long. Going on tour... Ireland (MidSummer Festival, Cork), France (Les Invites, Villerbaune) and Germany (Flurstüecke, Munster)
We cherish all the great memories from these intense days and what’s more, we love it when people write all these beautiful articles about our work:

A review of ALTER at Cork Midsummer Festival

An article about our show HABITACULUM at Munster Flurstrücke Festival

Mind you, get your translator ready (or congratulate yourself on how many languages you can understand) if you want to read them.

In July we have had a bit more time to change suitcases between one city and another, but nevertheless, our days remained just as intense. We have been very well received in Holland (Deventer Op Stelten, Deventer)
and very close to home (Olite Festival, Navarra) and have also had a chance to conduct a great workshop with a talented group of professionals from all over the UK (101 Outdoor Arts, UK)

YAnd finally August has seen us on the streets of England (Street of Cov, Coventry) and the beaches of Brittany (Les Rias, Clohars-Carnoët)

SEE YOU IN TÀRREGA AND IN...BARCELONA!

September is Fira Tàrrega month, and this year we'll be there as well, you bet!

As always, we will be strolling around the Fira to see our professional colleagues and talk to professionals to explore new possibilities for presenting our shows in their respective platforms and spaces.

But we will also have a space (slot) to present a first taste of the research work we have been doing thanks to the Hivernem grant. It will take place on Thursday morning.

Follow the programme of Fira Tarrega to find out exactly when and where we will be presenting our work on September 5th.

And now for some great news for our Catalan friends who constantly ask us why we don't perform near home.

On the weekend of 14 and 15 September, we will be presenting our show Fugit as part of Manifesta 15 biennale, in Sant Adrià del Besòs, the city that hosted a large part of the creation process of this show.

And we are very pleased to tell you that this is not the end of our ‘close to home’ September tour.

We will also play in in Barcelona this month, and not just once! but…for the moment we can’t share all the details and have to keep it all a bit of a secret... Follow our social networks so you don't miss any news!

WORKSHOP IN DECEMBER!

Creating in Public Space

In the last newsletter we asked you to save some dates in October

…Well, we have been forced to changed our plans and now you can save these dates: from the 9th to 14th December.

The dates might have changed but our plans haven’t: it will be a laboratory of sharing knowledge, insights and experimentation for performing arts professionals.

And it will be conducted with 8 hands in charge, by 2 different companies dedicated to Performing in Public Space: Kamchàtka and Ktha.

A little bit more about KTHA

KTHA is a well known reference in the world of performing arts in France, with an aesthetic and poetics very different from ours, but with a ‘next of kin’ company in terms of impulses and fundamentals.

PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER

Some fundamental ingredients are being added to the slow cooking process of our new creation: co-producers and mentors!

The former are those people and institutions that decide to trust our intuitions and intentions and provide us with the necessary support to make them a reality. To date, the visionaries who have decided to accompany us are:

Fira Tàrrega (TBC)
Festival Aurillac (França) (TBC)
Imagineer Productions (Regne Unit) (TBC)
Le Citron Jaune (França) (TBC)
Comedias do Minho (Portugal) (TBC)

The latter are the mentors who give us ideas and reflections to ‘wrap our heads around’ and who help us to refine our thoughts.
So far the ones who are accompanying us are:

Victoria Pérez Royo, Professor of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts
Natalia Carranza Collado, Cultural Anthropologist
