Music for Wild Beasts
Why concerts nearly always have such a limited and ‘elitist’ crowd? Why very seldom can families or children be seen in concerts?
When I go to see a classical music concert there is an orchestra with suits on, a conductor who continuously moves his hands conducting the musicians, a concert hall full of people who are very attentive and well dressed, the hall is impeccable and well lit with scores of elegant and polite ushers, silence rules, and more than anything else, I have to confess, I get bored!
But… Could it be just the contrary?
A concert based on themes inspired by ANIMALS: sometimes animals act like human beings and quite more often human beings act like real animals!
Programme:
• Camille Saint Saens ( 1835-1921 ): The Carnival of the Animals (1886)
